Hi! I’m Carla.
I’m a creative career coach specializing in helping young professionals land jobs in creative industries like fashion, entertainment, beauty, and more. Basically, I help you become THE top candidate for your dream job by optimizing your job-search strategy, improving your confidence, and sharing industry-specific knowledge that only insiders would know. I first created my dream career in the Fashion industry from scratch, and after thirteen years, successfully pivoted out to become an executive-level marketing consultant for various startups when it was time for something new. I’ve spoken at universities such as Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Ohio State, Kent State, and Fordham, as well as for brands such as Bloomingdales and Create & Cultivate.

Over the course of thirteen years working in Fashion PR, Marketing, and Celebrity Relations, I held director-level positions at top PR firms, as well as senior-level in-house positions. I was even invited to the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama for my contributions to the fashion industry!
I’m also the founder of FreeFashionInternships.com, a fashion internship listing website trusted by brands such as Hermes, Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo, Oscar de la Renta, and more.
I received a B.A., Communications from the University of California, San Diego, as well as an M.S., Strategic Communications from Columbia University and an M.A, Management at Harvard. I spent four years as an Adjunct Professor teaching Strategic Fashion Communications and PR at LIM College’s Masters in Graduate Studies program.
